  WHITE OAK RANCH
EDGECOMBE & BERTIE COUNTY

ABOUT WHITE OAK RANCH

White Oak Ranch is located in Edgecombe  and Bertie Counties and comprised of 6,042 acres of long term managed habitat for Whitetail Deer, Turkey, Bear, Hogs and Waterfowl.  4,156 contiguous acres are strategically located in Edgecombe and 1,886 contiguous acres in Bertie County.

White Oak ranch was created over 22 years ago and was founded on the same QDMA principles that its members had successfully implemented and experienced in deep South Texas.

Two Lodges - the Main Lodge is in Edgecombe County - it sleeps 16 has a Rifle Range, 3D lighted Bow Range, Dog Kennel for Bird Dogs, Walk in Cooler and Custom Cleaning Facilities.  Never more then 12 members - most members have been with White Oak Ranch since its inception.  Largest buck every killed was an Edgecombe County Main Frame 10 Pointer that gross scored 158 B&C.  The OutPost is a rustic Lodge that sleeps 8 with all amenities is located about 40 minutes from the Main Lodge in Bertie County.  Bertie's 1,886 acres are surrounded by the 35,000 acre Nature Conservancy along the Roanoke River basin.

We have 63 Permanent Stands - 24 of which are fed 4,500 pounds of corn weekly from August 1st to January 1st.  Feeders and Food Plots are also strategically located through out the property.

There are no Mandatory Work Days.

Cost for Edgecombe and Pitt lodges and properties isa combined annual amount of $6,000  Each membership allows for 5 bucks inclusive of immediate family and guest, but unlimited does.

White Oak Ranch QDMA Management practices provide for killing only bucks 4 Years Old and Older - these are usually at least 8 pointers and outside of their ears but body structure and physical attributes are certainly taken into account in the field.  Every buck that is killed is aged and logged,  If we just went with two QDMA criteria - 8 points and even with their ears - many of our spectacular 2.5 year old 8 pointers would fall into that category - live weight and body characteristics have to taken into account before any deer is killed - again 4 years old and older.
