"UNC Sportsman's Club"

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to get in on a brand new,  unique opportunity.   If you are a true sportsman and like to hunt quality deer, enjoy sitting around at supper with other hunters to tell stories, like to bring your kids to learn about the great outdoors whether it be fishing, hunting, or simply spending time outside, and want to do all this is a friendly, clean environment then this is for you.  This club offers so much more than most clubs...making it more than unique.

WHY IS THIS CLUB UNIQUE ???:
- Simply look at everything this club offers below...you'll understand why we say it's unique.
- Brand new lodging facility, with separate cooking, dining, lounging facility.
- This club is offering year round use of facilities for deer, turkey, dove, squirrel, rabbit, fishing, duck, and goose hunting as allowed by NC laws. Also quail, chukar, pheasant.
- The club currently has a "Game Preserve" status which allows hunting upland birds through March 31 (months beyond normal season).
- Onsite caretaker/member, so that all facilities are under a watchful eye so there is no need to worry about trespassers.
- The land is registered with the Wildlife Resources Commission so that game wardens have full permission to patrol as well as to remove any unwanted trespassers.
- This property has up to a  five year lease to the club so it removes any issues about where you'll be hunting next year.

WHAT THE CLUB OFFERS:
- Location: Halifax County, NC (just off I-95).  The first ranked county in all of NC for deer harvest the past  six (6) years in a row.; In the top two counties, the past eight years. When we show the property we'll meet just east of I-95 in Halifax county.
-Land Right around 1300 acres is hunted. The land is a mix of pines, deciduous trees, crop/growing fields, a small portion is swamp. Some general maintaining of the land (trails and such) is included in the price.
-Hunting:  Still hunting of deer only.  No dog hunters allowed.  All NC regulations apply to all hunting and fishing.
-Amenities: All amenities are already onsite and ready for immediate occupancy and use.
-Lodging:  Two lodging/facilities, one of which is recently built, has four separate bedrooms, each bedroom has its own mini-refrigerator, and facility can sleep up to 12 folks, kitchen, dining room, all major appliances including washer and dryer.  Two facilities allows all cooking and dining to be done in separate building, so hunting clothing remains scent free.  Facilities are heated, as well as offering air conditioning for the off season and bow hunting season.
-Stands:  A complete mix of deer stands, tripods, and tower stands.  Approximately 40 stands are in place and ready for use. Paths are already cleared and lanes opened.  (See our photos of these deer stands.  These are  NOT cheap chain-ons or junk but stands used as part of the guide service so you know they are good.)
-Lake: A medium size lake 7+ acres is on the premises and typically holds geese and some ducks for hunting, as well as bass and bream for fishing.
-Kennels Dog kennels (these are in immaculate condition) for up to 7 or 8 dogs. Concrete pads, roofs.
-Bird facilities Bird flying pens for holding upland birds for hunts.; Two holding pens, and one flight pen to allow birds to exercise their wings.
-Skinning Shed &  Cooler : A skinning shed with walk-in cooler is onsite and ready for use. This is a roofed and lighted area to facilitate processing of deer harvest.
-Additional items Available maid service for cleaning of clubhouse and facilities. This would be at additional cost.

Requirements-We intend to hunt this property in such a manner that we continue to raise healthy and large deer.  We will only harvest 8 point bucks or better.  Fines apply for bucks  shot under this size.  If you are of the mentality, "if it's brown, it's down", then PLEASE DO NOT APPLY.  We want quality deer hunters and those not abiding by club rules will be immediately removed, with no refunds.
-We prefer folks who are here to enjoy the outdoors, not simply here to do a lot of drinking. We emphasize a family environment, and love having children come down to experience the great outdoors, and have a safe and friendly environment to hunt  and fish on.
-All dues/fees must be paid in full by deadline (i.e. July 1st), otherwise your spot can be filled by first paying replacement.  We are currently taking a $500 non-refundable deposit which is applied to first year dues from folks to reserve spots.
-We operate the club with a limited number of rules to keep it simple. You are expected to abide by the rules, be respectful of others, nature, the land owners.

CLUB DUES: As we stated several times, this is a unique opportunity which offers some very unique amenities  .  We are limiting the membership to a few individuals to assure quality hunts and harvest. We want to maintain a ratio of 1 hunter per hundred(100) acres. Bird cost are extra, however we will potentially have three bird dogs available for use at no charge. Annual dues are $2250/year, and must be paid by July 15th.  Dues include everything...we DO NOT make you pay dues, and then ask everyone to pay another $300-$500 due to inability to do simple budgeting like most other clubs we've been in do.  Also, first come first serve basis applies.  If you pay your deposit now, you lock your spot in.  We reserve the right to be selective about our members based upon whether we feel they will obey the rules of the club, be a valuable addition, and will be respectful to our members, the land, and the landowner.   No other members are allowed to hunt until all dues are paid in full.

Rules & Regulations: Most of our rules are common sense, but we have them written down to assure no issues arise, and that everyone is fully aware of them.

-All NC hunting regulations must be followed.

-All members and guest must use the sign out board prior to hunting and mark their location on club land maps.  After finished hunting, remove your name form the sign out board and remove your location mark. Please also note your attendance in the club log book, as well as your guest.  All members and guest must sign release of liability and acknowledgment of rules  prior to any hunting.

-Farming activities takes precedence over hunting.  Please hunt in another area if farming activities are in process, and respect the landowners.

-All stands are for all members.  If needed, cards will be drawn prior to hunt (AM & PM) to decide who has first choice of stand selection.  Members always have stand preference over any guest.

-Clean the cabin prior to leaving.  Remove all trash.  Carcasses are to be disposed of in specified location.

-Stay off fields with vehicles, as well as food plots. Keep gates locked.

-All dues and fines must be paid prior to a member hunting.

-Harvest only 8 point or better bucks.  $250 fine for less (excludes button bucks). Only harvest bucks which you intend to have a taxidermist mount, otherwise please harvest a doe. Maximum of two bucks (meeting size requirement) per season.  Does may be harvested according to NCWRC rules and regulations.  Youth, one per family, (direct family members and step children, grandchildren) may shoot one deer of six points or greater as long as it is mounted.  This counts against the members total allotted buck harvest.

-Any deer under with antlers under two inches is considered a button buck. No deer including button bucks under 75 lbs should be shot.  $75 fine applies and is used to offset expenses. Deer with antlers 2” or greater, less than 8 points is a $250 fine.

- All members will receive five (5) guest passes which can be used anytime except for Nov1-Nov25 (rut season). Nov1-Nov25 is for members only.   This allows members best opportunity to harvest deer during the rut season, as well as reduces overall pressure on the deer herd. Only one guest, per member, per day.  Guest fees of $25/day applies and will be used to offset club expenses.  A members who brings a guest, must be present on the property when a guest is hunting.  Immediate family members (sons/daughters/step children/grandchildren) under the age of 16 may hunt with a member in the same stand at no charge.  Youths under the age of 16 may not hunt alone. Any deer a guest harvests applies to members total allotted deer harvest. Guest passes are not transferable. Half day hunts still constitute a full day hunt (either AM or PM).

-No smoking inside any facilities on the premises.

-Members have priority over guest regarding sleeping selection (rooms).

-Release forms must be signed prior to member and or guest being allowed to hunt.

-No illegal substances allowed on the premises (immediate termination of members privileges with no refunds).  No alcoholic beverages are to be consumed prior to that days AM/PM hunt by anyone intending to hunt (immediate loss of membership privileges with no refunds).  If you desire an alcoholic drink, please limit your consumption, as we strive for a friendly, family club.  We ask that folks be respectful of youth and refrain from drinking around them (i.e. go outside if you must drink).

-Members are fully responsible for their own, and their guest actions/behaviors.
