ABOUT US:
Located in the heart of the low country of South Carolina, just a
few miles from the Savannah River, Cypress Creek Hunting Lodge
is rapidly growing in reputation as one of the premiere hunting lodges in
the Southeast. With comfortable accommodations, fine southern home
cooking, and a wonderful relaxed sportsman’s atmosphere, you can be
assured that your visit to Cypress Creek Hunting Lodge will
be both enjoyable and unforgettable.
Owned and operated by a dedicated life long hunter, Danny Harrell,
along with his wife Becky feel that their experiences give them the
ability to understand and meet the needs of today’s sportsmen and
sportswomen. As an elected member to the BASS PRO SHOPS-Red Head Hunting
Staff, Danny Harrell’s experience hunting this area of the low country
spans for more than 25 years.
Our Hunts:
Cypress Creek Hunting Lodge offers exclusive
amenities including comfortable lodging, Southern-home-cooked meals,
linens, housekeeping, field transportation, game retrieval, access to the
gun range / bow range, as well as a full-sized walk-in cooler with all
hunting packages.
Along with the generous amenities Cypress Creek Hunting Lodge
also offers skinning and quartering, processing and taxidermy, airport
transportation, and sporting clays with each package purchased.
Deer Hunts: The low country of South Carolina offers
exceptional opportunities for whitetail deer. With deer populations at
their highest and the most liberal season in the southeast spanning from
August 15th – January 1st, early season deer hunters are given the
opportunity to harvest rare velvet buck trophies.
You will be hunting from comfortable elevated tower stands, ladder
stands, and tripod stands equipped with rifle rests; open ladder stands
and loc-on stands are also used to accommodate pistol and bow hunters.
Stands are strategically located throughout the property around grain
fields, in swamps, hardwoods, and pinewoods to ensure a variety of hunting
opportunities. Most deer stands will have food plots, corn feeders, or
both. Mineral supplements and protein feeds are also used to ensure
healthy deer populations with quality racks. Hunters may harvest 2 deer
per day (1 in morning, 1 in afternoon).

Wild Boar Hunts:
Wild boar hunting is our specialty and a year round sporting activity at Cypress
Creek Hunting Lodge. Our area of the low country produces prime
habitat for wild hogs which include both Feral and Russian strained hogs.
Wild hogs harvested at Cypress Creek typically range from
100lbs to 250lbs, with some hogs being harvested weighing in over 400lbs.
Wild hogs here at Cypress Creek are all free ranging
and are native to the area. Our swamp land areas along with planted
seasonal food plots and supplemental corn feedings aid in attracting and
keeping our wild hog close to our stands.
You will be hunting from comfortable elevated tower stands, ladder
stands, and tripod stands equipped with rifle rests; open ladder and
loc-on stands are also used to accommodate pistol and bow hunters. Stands
are strategically placed throughout the property over food sources or
travel corridors providing our hunters the best opportunities possible.
Hunters may harvest 2 hogs per day (1 per sitting) weighing at least 50lbs
or greater.
Turkey Hunts: Eastern wild turkey hunting in low
country can be both a challenging and very rewarding experience. Hunters
can begin their turkey hunting season early at Cypress Creek
beginning March 15th extending through May 1st. With turkey populations on
the rise and a very liberal South Carolina bag limit, turkey hunters are
allowed to harvest 2 turkeys per day (1 per sitting, am/pm) and 5 per
season.
Cypress Creek offers both guided and
semi-guided hunts to assist our guests in bagging a trophy gobbler. Our
experienced guides will work their best for you to locate, set up, and
call a gobbler in to range or leave it all in your hands.
Turkey hunting locations will be in and around grain fields,
hardwood bottoms, and in pinewoods. Seasonal food plots are planted here
at Cypress Creek consisting of grains and chufah to attract
and keep turkey populations at their highest.
Deer/Boar Combination Hunts:
Cypress Creek offers the valuable combination package of hunting Deer and Wild
Boar. Keep in mind that the limitation of kills for this combo hunt is 2
animals per day.
Turkey/Boar Combination Hunts: Our second combination
hunting package allows for 2 animals to be taken on the hunt per day. Keep in
mind that the limitation of kills for this combo hunt is 1 Turkey and 1 Boar.
LODGING: Cypress Creek limits the
maximum number of guests to 12 per day ensuring a quality hunting experience.
Our lodge includes comfortable accommodations, southern home cooked meals,
house keeping, satellite TV, and a fireplace. Lodging includes a bow and rifle
range, walk-in cooler, skinning shed, and a fire pit area to help our guests
relax and unwind after a good day in the field.
