Stockman's Lodge is situated on an island on Cuelenaere (Cul-en-air) Lake 120 Miles North of La Ronge, Sask.  The camp has a southern exposure to the warm summer sun and a sandy beach. Cuelenaere is a cool, clear, and deep lake with many islands and bays with spots up to 130 feet deep. Lake trout can be caught weighing 30 plus pounds. Our quiet bays are home for large northern pike up to 50 inches and 30 pounds. Cuelenaere is 12 miles long and 4-1/2 miles at its widest part with bays and shorelines to protect you from any wind or weather. There are no long boat rides, as fishing starts when you leave the dock. 

    
 

 
  
 
 

A fifteen minute hike through the portage to Buss Lake is very scenic and easy. This lake is a similar size to Cuelenaere and has many bays and long inlets that host huge northern pike, reefs and deep pools for lakers, and selected areas for walleye.  Buss Lake is surrounded by tall white spruce, where wildlife is abundant, watch for caribou, moose, or bear on the shoreline as you fish. You can explore an old trappers cabin, where you can only imagine the long, cold winter months spent trapping and raising a family. Buss Lake is a day-use lake only with no accommodations; and after fishing for your shore lunch and exploring, your guide will escort you back through the portage for dinner at the main camp.


 

Two new log cabins were built in June 2004 with private bathrooms--complete with hot showers and flush toilets. Each cabin has a bedroom with two twins and can sleep three in the main area. A wood heater and a bar fridge complete the inside, while a large deck for viewing the lake accent the outside. You will find them very comfortable and cozy.



 



All meals are presented in the main lodge dining area. Hot breakfasts and great home-cooked dinners with all the trimmings. After dinner, relax and visit, play cards, throw darts, or just hang out.

A 20% discounts applies to all children under 16 years of age.
Children under 5 are free.
All packages are priced in U.S. funds per person.

All American Plan Packages include the following:

  • Round-trip air transportation from LaRonge, Sask

  • No other camps on our lakes

  • Fully guided fishing, 1 guide per 2 guests

  • Enjoy the advantage of fishing 2 lakes, Cuelenaere and Buss

  • Trophy Lake Trout, Northern Pike, and Walleye

  • 16 ft aluminum boats, padded swivel seats and fish finders

  • New log cabin accommodations will sleep up to 5 guests in each cabin, with full bath and private bedrooms available for couples

  • All bedding and towels provided

  • Home-cooked breakfast and dinner

  • Shore lunch of your own catch, prepared by your guide

  • No more than 10 guests at a time so enjoy the extra-ordinary service

  • Kayak and canoe available for guest use

  • Tackle and Rod rentals ($45 per stay)

Not included:

  • Provincial and Federal sales tax

  • Saskatchewan conservation fishing license

Booking Information

Deposits and Payments

In order to confirm your reservation, deposits are due immediately upon booking. The balance will be due 45 days prior to commencement of trip. We accept both personal and business checks, as well as Visa and MasterCard for your convenience.

Trip Deposits……………$600 US per person

Deposits are fully refundable up to 90 days prior to commencement of trip.
Cancellations must be in writing.

 

Airline and Travel Information

Susan and I will be happy to help get the best rates possible for flights to Saskatoon or La Ronge and outfitter rates at hotels, if an overnight stay is required.

 

Terms and Conditions

Cancellations and refunds:

A full refund of deposit will be made if written cancellation is received 90 days prior to scheduled trip start date. If cancellation is received within 90 days of trip commencement deposit will be forfeit. Guest may arrange to book alternate dates of same season, or next season at sole discretion of Stockman’s Lodge. In the event of a last minute no-show the guest will be responsible to pay for trip in full. No refunds of full payments at any time.

All package prices are based on specific air charters or commercial flights on scheduled dates. Any guests not traveling on the specified flights as arranged by Stockman’s Lodge will be financially responsible for the expense of any additional chartered or scheduled aircraft required to reach the lodge.

Anyone voluntarily choosing to arrive or depart on dates different from those arranged by Stockman’s Lodge will be financially responsible for any additional costs. No credit will be given for early departures.

Stockman’s Lodge assumes no responsibility or liability for any hazard of any type associated with these trips. Neither is any obligation or responsibility assumed for any political, meteorological, climatic or other event, or for the services of transportation companies, contractors or other principals for whom Stockman’s Lodge acts as agents.

Stockman’s Lodge assumes no responsibility for travel delays due to weather, strikes or actions of transportation companies contracted by, or for whom Stockman’s Lodge acts as agents.

Stockman’s Lodge assumes no responsibility for personal injury or lost personal items.
