ABOUT US:
Green Lake Outfitters is owned
and operated by Trevor Vause. Trevor
has been outfitting for 15 years. He has 35
years of experience as a professional hunter.
The hunting area is located in Central Western
Saskatchewan approximately 60 km east of
Meadow Lake.
We
are very proud of the fact that many of our
hunters are repeat clientele. Green Lake
Outfitters will do everything possible to make
our clients' stay a successful and memorable
one.
For
your info:
We pride ourselves in being a conservation and
environmentally minded business.
Hides that are left over after your deer are
caped we give to the Saskatchewan Wildlife
Federation. The proceeds from the sale of
these hides are used to purchase Wild Life
Habitual land.
Meat left behind by our clients is taken to
Green Lake and distributed to the elderly
people of the town.
BEAR
HUNTS:
Black Bear Hunts are all 6-days in duration
starting on Monday morning and ending on
Saturday evening.

All hunting is done over active bait sights
from both fixed and portable tree stands.
During the spring and fall we mainly use lock
on stands however, we do use larger fixed
stands as well.

You will arrive in camp on Sunday afternoon
and will be staying in a log cabin with a wood
heater. You can get settled in and sight your
bow or gun prior to dinner. Monday morning you
will get up and have a hot breakfast. Bear
hunting is done in the afternoon as this is by
far the best time to hunt them. You can spend
the mornings relaxing and practicing with your
bow or gun. For those that wish to go on the
later hunts there is good fishing for Northern
Pike and Walleye in the near by lakes and
rivers. After lunch we will head out to your
stand. We will be checking on everyone during
the afternoon and a place will be shown to you
where we will meet if you have a bear. If you
are not there we will continue on and we will
not go into the stand in case there is any
game in close proximity. You will be picked up
at dark and head back to camp where you can
put your feet up and talk about the events of
the day over a hot supper.

We skin, cape, and salt your trophy ready for
you to take home, or we can arrange for a good
quality taxidermy for you. A military duffle
bag is excellent for shipping your hide home.
Bugs at this time of year are almost none
existent. However bring some bug dope just in
case. Bow and black powder hunters may use any
color camo clothing. Rifle hunters must wear a
complete outer suit of either blaze orange,
white, scarlet red or yellow.
NONE of these of these COLORS can be in CAMEO.
Blaze Orange is preferred. Your hat must be
blaze orange or red.

TROPHY
DEER HUNTS:
The Deer Hunts are all 6-days in duration
starting on Monday morning and ending on
Saturday evening. All hunting is done over
active bait sights from both fixed and
portable tree stands. During the fall we
mainly use the larger fixed stands but we do
use lock on stands from time to time. We use
some fully enclosed stands for deer hunting as
well.

We have all our clients drive to camp as this
will allow you much more freedom getting
flights in and out of the states. If you tag
out early some clients may want to go sight
seeing or if you prefer you will be able to go
home. It is also convenient to have your own
vehicle if you need to make phone calls. There
is no telephone service at our camp
.
We
are able to assist you in getting discounted
airfares and rental cars if you wish.
We
skin, cape, and salt your trophy so it is ready for
you to take home or we can arrange for a good
quality taxidermist.

All
fall white tail deer hunts take place during the
month of November.
All
fall deer hunters must wear a complete outer suit of
either blaze orange, white, scarlet red or yellow.
NONE of these COLORS can be in CAMO. Blaze Orange is
preferred.

Your hat must be blaze orange or red.
You
will arrive in camp on Sunday afternoon and will be
staying in a log cabin with a wood heater. You can
get settled in and sight your bow or gun prior to
dinner. Monday morning you will get up and have a
hot breakfast and be given a bag lunch. We will head
out and have you in your stand before dawn. We will
be checking on everyone during the day and a place
will be shown to you where we will meet if you have
a deer. If you are not there we will continue on and
we will not go into the stand in case there is any
game in close proximity. You will be picked up at
dark and head back to camp where you can put your
feet up and talk about the events of the day over a
hot supper.

THE CAMP / LODGING
The
camp consists of three log cabins. Two
of these are bunk cabins for the
hunters. One cabin will accommodate up
to six hunters and the other cabin
will accommodate two. (Like husband
and wife or son and father) The big
main cabin is equipped with a dining
area, shower facilities, lounge, and
also houses the cook and guides. All
cabins are heated with wood heaters.
In the hunters cabins there are
mattresses and pillows supplied. There
are also tables and chairs. All cabins
are powered by a generator.
All your meals are good old home
cooking. With fresh baked bread and
cookies for your lunches.
We have a fire ring which we use in
the spring, a great place for everyone
to socialize in the evening after
getting their game.
Camp is situated in an old growth
forest of spruce and poplar. A few
hundred yards away from a lake.
