ABOUT US:
Complete hunting and fishing
guide service. Offering fine wilderness lodging.
Fishing and hunting outfitting. Priding
ourselves in our outstanding combination
fishing and hunting trips and experience. The
Lake of the Woods area or the Ojibway pronunciation
Lake of The Sand Bars is full of rich culture from
the original inhabitants, the Ojibway peoples. We
have been fortunate to live here in a saddle between
Lake of the Woods and Crow Lake, which its original
name was Crow Portage (horse and buggy days). My
Ojibway roots opened the door at an early age to the
lakes and bush. A large number of native guides
were the heart of the fish & hunting guide work
force. They supported and strengthened the tourism
industry in Canada, while making a living off there
experience and connection to the land, water, and
sky. Expect an exceptional vacation
experience. The Lake Of The Woods area with
it's outstanding boreal forest surroundings is a
outdoors persons dream.

Whitetail deer
hunts are top notch. Hunt with complete
privacy. Just you and the wildlife. Duck hunts,
grouse and other big game hunts are also offered.
Lake Of The Wood's is where you will fish for
crappie, walleye, northern pike, perch and muskie.
The adjacent Crow Lake will provide excellent small
mouth bass fishing. Catch up to a rate of 75 or
more a day. Lake trout are had in Crow Lake as well
as in Whitefish Bay which is apart of Lake of the
Woods. From the out standing views of Lake
of the Woods to Whitefish Bay's beautiful
scenery and onto the absolutely clear, cold and deep
water of Crow lake the whole area has a
tremendous diversity. Excellent fishing &
hunting, private nature lodging, great service and
friendly company is what you will get when heading
out on the lake or bush with Lake Of The Woods
Outdoors.
Deer Hunting:
Deer hunting is excellent in our area and our
guide service will hunt large parts of the lake as
well as inland. We have exclusive hunting access
to certain land masses that we are able to conduct
guided trophy white-tailed deer, wolf and bear
hunts. ( Over 12,000 Square acres)
Sections of the Aulneau Peninsula which are bow
and muzzle loader hunts only, are part of these
lands. As well sections of hunting zone 7B
(rifle hunts) are exclusive to our guide service.
This means no other hunters in the local Nestor
Falls / Sioux Narrows /Morson / Lake of
the Wood's area will hunt our area's. Hunt
with us and you will not bump into other hunter's. The
area will be crawling with orange vested deer
hunter's this fall. Our area has become renounced
for it's Boone & Crocket Trophy Buck potential.
We are happy to have a large population of deer and
a 130 to 160 class buck can be quite common. Every
year we will take 2 or 4 deer ranging from 250# up
to 330# (big bodied). Still hunting or standing is a
common hunting method. Also guided pushing
could be incorporated on that warm day when the deer
don’t move. We can accommodate up to (6)
hunters, their gear and return with game. For inland
hunts, hunting areas are usually accessible by
truck. We do have (2) ATV’s available upon request.

Duck Hunting:
Duck Hunting within our lakes and
ponds will deliver a great action hunt to the
avid duck hunter. Cooling down your barrel and
letting a few flocks pass can be the norm. We have a
good number of mallard, teal, local wood ducks but
it is the habitat (wild rice bays) that allows for
several waves of northern flights through out the
fall months to stop in our area to feed. Our area is
noted for its exceptional abundance of diver ducks
which include ring neck, blue bills, red head and
golden eye. At the best times these diver ducks
maybe found in flocks of thousands. The two larger
boats will be used to shuttle our guests to the
hunting areas than transported in the smaller bays
with a 14’ camouflage boat. We provide decoys, and
canoes if needed. Blinds are made from the immediate
terrain, and we can assist in duck calling. Check
out our rates page, you will find them to be
comparably economical.
Fishing:
Our system is simple. Go were the fish are active.
There are three bodies of water that we ulitilize
thru out points in the fishing season that will
provide the optimum fishing experience for our
guests.

We will fish for WALLEYE
with an average of 60 per day (
slow days 20 great days 150)and throw in the occasional
northern pike, sauger, perch, muskie or small
mouth bass. You will be very pleased with the
northern pike action in different section's of Lake
of the Wood's. Crow lake will yield unbeatable "ACTION".

We have guides that
do specialize only in the field of MUSKIE.
Good NORTHERN PIKE (20
to 100 a day) up in Whitefish
Bay. These fish will range from on a average weight
of 3# to 12#.
Also small and large mouth bass and BIG
LAKE TROUT can be had.

SUPER SMALL MOUTH BASS fishing
on Crow Lake and throw in some trout fishing and you
have an excellent day of fishing. Crow lake is also
an excellent muskie lake and a average northern pike
will be 5-8 lb's
with trophies ranging from 15- 25
lb's .

Some smaller lakes
nearby that we can fish are also available upon
request. These lakes have walleye, northern pike,
perch, small and large mouth bass. We do have a
small exclusive lake we can fish. This lake we call "LOST
LAKE". It offer's your typical fly-in
bass and northern pike fishing but also yield's
large "SLAB CRAPPIE'S"
which cannot be found in any inland lakes or
fly-in lakes.

Lodging/Accommodations:
Our cabin offers many of the luxuries of home. A
completely insulated building with kitchen
appliances, hot & cold running water, shower,
sleeping quarters for up to 8 people,

phone tower well within range of the cabin and if

wilderness
