ABOUT US:
This facility is one of the finest sporting
lodges in the South. Opportunities to hunt in flooded fields,
dramatic cypress breaks and dense timberlands abound. Indoors, the
Mallard Manor lodge provides the exceptional comfort of a warm fireplace,
beautiful guest rooms and gourmet meals.
Our goal at Mallard Manor is to offer a family-based Christian
atmosphere. Our belief is that we can provide the ultimate hunting
experience coupled with first class accommodations. We provide first rate
service that far exceeds the cost factor, which is virtually unheard of in
our industry.
For generations, The Delta of Mississippi has been known for its
hunting opportunities. Fortunately, this natural phenomenon has
never been negatively exploited. It is no great secret that the
Mississippi flyway hosts more ducks than any of the other flyways.
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service studies show that 60% of all migrating
waterfowl come down the Mississippi flyway. According to the U.S.
Fish and Wildlife Service, our properties are in the direct path of that
migration concentration. What we found out was that we are in "The
Zone."
HUNTING:
Waterfowl- On a cold, crisp morning an experienced hunting
guide will escort you through the quiet marshes or show you to a heated
duck blind overlooking a flooded rice field set with decoys. We
offer a variety of options--heated pit blinds, sled blinds, floating
blinds or wading in a break to take full advantage of the hunting
opportunities. Mallards, pintails, gadwalls, widgeons, wood ducks,
blue wing and green wing teal as well as geese are seen regularly at
Mallard Manor, and all species native to the Mississippi Flyway appear at
one time or another. Each day's experience is different and promises
to be an unforgettable experience.
