ABOUT US:
Over the years We have come to love and respect the art of whitetail
management. We enjoy the serenity and beauty of Pike County, Illinois,
especially during the whitetail season. The fall colors on a frosty
morning can be breath taking as the sounds of the rutting bucks echo
through the still morning air.
We have each experienced the tremendous thrill
in the taking of trophy whitetails. Several of Our trophies
have received 1st. place honors in the 2nd. annual Pike County
Illinois deer camp. The Pike County Deer Camp was
established to display and score trophy animals. The deer camp goes
further than the judging, it is a place where sportsmen and women share
their hunting adventures, and is also a place to get a few pointers as the
hunting season approaches. It also serves as a median to bring in
not only the hunter, but the none hunter alike as a way to promote the art
of whitetail hunting.

BOW HUNTING:
Thank You for Your interest in bow hunting the big whitetails in Pike
County, Illinois. The Land of Legends Outfitters spans
more than 1100 acres of some of the best whitetail hunting in the country.
We have 346 acres of CRP, 151 acres in corn, soybeans and wheat. The
remaining acres are woodlands with several creeks, springs, and ponds.
There are also many food plots throughout the farm.
Ten years ago, along with our neighbors, we
started a management program to give our young bucks a chance to mature.
Our efforts paid off. Now with each passing year the number of big
mature bucks has steadily increased.
Our hunts are guided or semi guided. We
will help You any way We can. We will scout the farms for scrape
lines or areas where the deer are using and try to place You in a hot
spot. We will have stands hung or You may bring Your own stand or
You may hunt in ground blind. I do not allow driving deer.
Only stand hunting will be allowed. Bucks taken must be mature
animals of 140 or better. You will need to bring all the necessary gear,
including rubber boots. These are fair chase wild game hunts that
require crafty archers with ethical and sportsman like behavior. All
State and Federal hunting regulations apply.
