forest and farmland, we have a very healthy big game

of ducks and geese nesting in our area.
WHITETAIL
DEER HUNTS:
Our whitetail deer hunts take
place in the part of Alberta which has become known
as one of the best areas in North America for
massive bucks. The two largest whitetails in Canada
(279 6/8 and 285)are from the area we hunt. The area
we hunt has farmland but its best feature is the
large tracts of forest that gives the bucks cover
enough to reach trophy size.

Most of the hunting is done from
stands, but we also still hunt, spot and stalk and
push bush. Our repeat clients speak volumes for the
quality of deer and our hunting operation. Our
longest term client is 15 years and we have others
over 10 years. Make Red Willow Outfitters your
number one destination for a great Whitetail hunt.

Make your dream hunt a reality.
As an avid hunter myself, I am experienced enough to
make your hunt both successful and enjoyable. I
enjoy working hard and look forward to providing
opportunities for trophy Whitetail Deer.

MULE
DEER HUNTS:
Red Willow
Outfitters offers archery and rifle trophy Mule Deer
hunts in Alberta, Canada...
The Peace River
Country has become known as the destination of
choice for trophy Mule deer. With a healthy
population and unbelievable genetics, hunters have
had excellent success hunting with us in Alberta's
Peace Country.

Trophy Mule Deer Hunts:
Our hunting areas in WMU 360
& 351 are farmland and boreal forest areas. The
hunting is good from the start of the Archery season
in late August right through to the start of the
rifle season in mid September and on until the end
of November. We take spectacular 180+ Mule Deer each
year in this hunting area.

Premium Trophy Mule Deer Hunts:
Our WMU 521 Mule Deer hunt takes
place in one of the best areas in North America for
trophy Muleys. It is an expensive outfitter
allocation and we have taken some great deer there
and therefore charge a premium to hunt there. We
take some great Mule Deer in the other areas we
hunt, but the 521 area has some real monsters and
you will have an excellent chance at bringing home a
real trophy. We take spectacular Mule Deer each
year, even some in the 200's. This tag is booked
very quickly, so call early to secure this one.
Make your dream hunt a reality.
As an avid hunter myself, I am experienced enough to
make your hunt both successful and enjoyable. I
enjoy working hard and look forward to providing
opportunities for trophy Mule Deer.
ELK
HUNTS:
Because of the ratio of forest
and farmland, we have a very healthy elk population
that is growing each year. Our elk bowhunts run late
August to mid September and then the rifle season
opens. The changeover between seasons happens right
at the peak of the rut making the elk hunting both
successful and enjoyable. The excitement created by
a bugling elk is one that is not soon forgotten.

Our typical elk are 5X5 to 6X6's. Our largest was a
6X8 that scored well over 300". There have been
bulls killed in the areas we hunt that are 350"
+. Elk hunting has been a very popular with us. Many
hunters choose to do a combination hunt. One of the
most popular is the Elk/Moose/Black Bear, though we
are able to combine elk hunting with any of the
species we offer.

BEAR
HUNTS:
The Black Bears in our hunting
area have been found to be some of the largest in
Alberta. The largest black bear ever recorded in
Alberta recently came from our hunting area. THREE
years in a row, our clients have won the Outfitters
award for the largest Black Bear taken by a
non-resident hunter. We also have one of the
highest percentages of the brown color phase,
ranging from a dark chocolate color to pure blonde.

We offer a variety of back bear
hunts. During the spring ( May/June), when the bears
are first out of their dens, we hunt both baited and
spot and stalk with bow, muzzleloader, or rifle.
Their fur at this time is thick and long. Most of
the bear hunting occurs over baits, but spot and
stalk hunts can be arranged. In the fall (late
Aug/Sept) our bear hunts are baited or spot and
stalk. At this time the bears are feeding to fatten
themselves up for the for a long winters sleep.
Their fur is shiny and thick at this time.

Our bear hunts take place in a
two bear limit area, so the opportunity to take two
bears is available. This has has allowed us to
maintain a kill percentage of about 175%.

MOOSE
HUNTS:
Moose hunting take place in the
world famous Peace River Country. It is known for
having one of the highest Moose densities in North
America. Our moose hunts have been very popular. Due
to the Alberta's management of moose, we have been
taking high quality animals each year. Every year we
are taking moose in the 50" + range with our
largest being 63". We have three different
moose hunts to choose from as well as combination
hunts for moose with Black Bear, Whitetail, Mule
Deer, Waterfowl, and Elk.

Moose
bowhunts:
We hunt in the archery only
season from late August to mid September. During
this time we concentrate on the prime feeding areas,
game trails, natural mineral "licks", and
other prime habitat showing fresh Moose activity.
This is a very exciting and productive hunt. We
normally see more Moose on this hunt than any of the
others. Moose are relatively easy to stalk and, of
course, are big targets. This makes this hunt very
doable. The weather at this time is very pleasant
and the days are long. If you want to have the
challenge of taking North Americas largest member of
the deer family with a bow, give us a call and make
your dream a reality.

Rut
Moose Hunts:
Our rut Moose hunts take place in
late September to mid October. During this time the
moose are in the peak of the rut. We call them in
making relatively easy shots. Hearing their deep
grunt as they respond is every bit as exciting as
the bugle of a bull elk. This hunt can be done with
bow or rifle and both are highly successful. Our
success on this hunt is consistently 85% + on kills
and of course opportunity is almost always 100%.
November
Post Rut Moose Hunts:
At this time we hunt moose by
spot and stalk. The moose are feeding more in the
open at this time. The lack of leaves and the
presence of snow make them easier to spot and
locate. We see a lot of Moose on this hunt. this
hunt can be done with rifle or bow, but leans itself
more towards a rifle hunt. In the past few years we
have killed our biggest bulls on this hunt. The kill
percentage is similar to the rut hunt, 85-90%.
Our moose hunts are high quality and we take big
bulls on all of them.
WOLF
HUNTS:
Our wolf hunts run from December
1 - March 15 as this is the best time of year to
hunt these predators. We use bait, spot and stalk,
and calling. At this time of the year there is snow
so we travel by snowmobile while hunting. We expect
kill percentages at about 50%. Because wolves in our
hunting area have drastically increased and there is
such an abundance of wolves and coyotes there is no
limit on the number of wolves you can take.

Alberta wolf hunts can be very
rewarding with an excellent opportunity to take more
than one wolf and a bunch of coyotes. Wolves are
quite variable in color. The wolves in our hunting
area tend to be a mix, black to white with many
tones of grey. The mature wolves from this area have
skulls in the 17-18" range and can weigh well
over 100lbs. These ultimate predators makes a great
trophy.

Timber wolves are a prized trophy
and are by nature, extremely elusive. If you want a
great hunt at one of North Americas most challenging
trophies give us a call and we will help make your
dream a reality.
WATERFOWL
HUNTS:
Waterfowl hunting takes place in the farmland of
Northern Alberta. A typical day of hunting involves
a morning Goose & Duck hunt in the grain fields.
The afternoon and evenings can be used up hunting
Grouse in the woods or Ducks on small ponds and
lakes. Occasionally we'll do an evening field hunt
as well.

Alberta has generous limits and that gives us
opportunity for lots of action. Our Geese are
primarily Greater Canada's, but we do have some
Speckle Bellies and some Snows. Our lodge is located
on the Little Smoky River and it affords some great
Walleye and Northern fishing.
Make
your dream hunt a reality. As an avid hunter myself,
I am experienced enough to make your hunt both
successful and enjoyable. I enjoy working hard and
look forward to providing opportunities for
fantastic Waterfowl hunts.
